Origin of the work
This is my free-creation work on the theme of Darkness and the beasts hidden within. A humorous fact here is that the look of this creature from the depths of hell was inspired by a domestic cat. The original work probably does not exist anymore, as one of its patrons and collectors burned it in a fit of madness.
Use of the artwork
Only a digital form of the Darkness artwork survives, as the original most likely met its doom in the destruction of flames. However, that didn’t stop our fellow Infernalist Zdenek “Zelda” Zaleský from coming up with the mischievous idea of using it as the cover for the upcoming collection of horror poetry which he was working on together with the writer Kristina Heidinger. The project got named WHAT LURKS IN THE DARKNESS and was issued by the Golden Dog publishing house.
