Brief history of the work
This is so far the latest of my works for the writer Veronika Šulcová and her book Initiation into Haitian Voodoo. This colored ink drawing is intended to capture the symbolism and traditions of this Caribbean religion. The authoress traveled to Haiti herself and was initiated there. The book is thus a travelogue, with the present artwork used as its cover. The original is now available for collectors.
